Doki Doki Crate September 2017 Review

IMG_0177After cancelling my Harry Potter subscription box, I have decided it is time to try something new. My first Doki Doki Japan Crate arrived yesterday and I was pleasantly surprised. I received and email on the 24th August to say it would arrive in the next 2-4 weeks, but it arrived on the 1st September. Super fast delivery from Japan to the UK, very impressed so far. The box itself cost $30.00 which on the date of purchase equalled £24.36. This box has free delivery all around the world. I was a bit weary of the price at first but it is a box that I see reviews of fairly often and I have been tempted for a while now.

There are a number of different boxes available, I chose this particular box as I liked the theming of it. You can get snack or treat boxes which look great as well, might try one of those in the future. I was drawn to this one because of the blanket that I saw they were including through the facebook page. I loved the different animals that you could potentially receive. I think mine is a brown lamb, or a bear, either way it is very soft and cute. They aren’t as big as I was expecting though so I’m not sure when I’ll use it, might just be a shoulder wrap for me, rather than a blanket. Discovered the truth, its a llama apparently, at least I think that’s what the book was saying.IMG_0178

The second item that I picked out of the box was the clear plastic jug. It’s a decent enough quality and will be handy for keeping fresh water by my bed, but not something I necessarily need. I will use it occasionally but to be honest, it’s a little useless. It’s a jug, that’s it.

The next two items go together and are again fairly useless to me. One is a really pretty little toothbrush. It’s a little small and so it would be fine for children, but not much good for me. Also, I use an electric toothbrush so I didn’t really need a spare. The electric toothbrush also makes the Hello Kitty toothbrush holder a little pointless. I like the designs of them both and might use them on my crafts, a pencil holder and a paint scrubber, I don’t know but I’ll find a use for them.

The next item I really want to try out as soon as I can, it’s a tea infuser. I know, not very exciting but I want to see how it fairs with some leaf teas. I don’t expect much from it as it seems a little flimsy. The rubber of the strawberry doesn’t seem very sturdy, but I love the overall design. IMG_0183

Next up is the most useable item of the box. Two microfiber cloths. They have a cute Kumamon design on them and they are something I was really needing for my trip back to university that is coming up. My previous cleaning cloths were thrown away so now I have one for the bathroom and one for the bedroom. It’s odd that I’m happiest about cleaning cloths but hey, they’re practical.

The final addition to the box is a kittle ornament. I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be a key ring or a hanging ornament but I know you get one with every box. They’re cute and even though it isn’t Christmas themed, I will probably collect them and hang them on my tree.IMG_0182

That’s it for this month’s box, I’m going to keep my subscription for another month to see how I feel with the next box. This one was fun and cute but a lot of the items were a bit useless. I’ll keep with it as it was a lot of fun to open, but I can’t justify spending almost £25 a month on the box if the items don’t become useful.

I hope you liked my little review, if there is anything else you would like to know please feel free to ask!
